The primary issue that must be considered is the opportunity for infectious organisms to be introduced into open wounds through hydrotherapy. A simple, effective method to control that circumstance is through the use of Chlorazene® during patient treatment. Even with the best chemicals and cleaning methods, it is difficult to have confidence that your patient is protected. Chlorazene ensures that any bacteria in the whirlpool is controlled at the wound site.
Chlorazene whirlpool additive has been proven to kill more pathogens than either bleach or iodine. But, unlike bleach and iodine, Chlorazene does not cause damage to healthy, healing cells.
