Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation in the Veterinary Clinical Setting

This seminar is designed to provide the participant with the didactic information to insure maximum benefit from the Ferno Vet Scholarship Program. The course is a day and a half c.e.u. seminar presented in lecture and lab settings to provide the participant with a didactic introduction to veterinary rehabilitation.

This seminar includes the following:

The basis for establishing rehabilitation as part of the veterinary standard of care

The chain of command and supervisory control of veterinary rehabilitation

The basic treatment philosophy and tools required to provide veterinary rehabilitation

Review of state-to-state veterinary and physical therapy practice acts as they pertain to the provisions of veterinary rehabilitation

Financial aspects of providing veterinary rehabilitation

Hands-on laboratory to introduce the basic veterinary rehabilitation treatment tool
